Governance
The New Boston Public Library, an agency of The City of New Boston, It is governed by a six-member Library Board of Directors appointed for three-year terms by the City Counsel of New Boston. The NBPL Board works in conjunction with the Mayor, Director Christine Woodrow and library staff, and the Friends of the New Boston Public Library to carry out the Library's mission in the community.
New Boston Public Library is part of the North East Texas Library System, a cooperative network of public libraries in a seven county area. This system offers a shared online catalog, daily delivery of materials, and reciprocal borrowing privileges among libraries.
